What is Extruder Machina?
Blown film extrusion lines are being used widely in order to create thin plastic films that can be used in a wide range of applications, including food packaging, construction, agriculture, and medical products. For blown film manufacturing various kind of raw materials could be used such as; low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyamide (PA) and Ethylene Vinil Alcohol (EVOH). The choice of material depends on the application and the desired properties of the film. The main components of a blown film extruder:
Dosing Unit: Plastic raw materials are being mixed w.r.t. defined recipes. Then these mixtures are being pushed into the extrusion chamber.
Extrusion Chamber: Mixture of the plastic raw material is being melted and extruded through a circular die head. Pressurized air is blown from the center of the die which transforms the molten plastic into a bubble as it is leaving the die.
Cooling Tower: The balloon is being cooled by passing it through a series of directing rollers and by blowing air onto it. Then the balloon is being folded as it passes through collapsing frame, which folded it into film.
Winding Unit: The film is being wound into rolls for further processing (printing, cutting etc.) or direct use.
